Long ago, a magical catastrophe tore through a region of Grimmveil. Forests burned. Stone split. Magic ran wild and feral.
Most fled.
A group of witches stayed.
Not to save buildings. Not to stop the flames.
They stayed to understand it.
They discovered something shocking.
The fire was not just destruction.
It was magic purging corruption.
Burning rot from the roots of the land itself.
From that disaster rose the first Emberwake sisters, led by:
Valcira the Ashborn

snuff magical explosions before detonation
These bloodlines became known as Cinderborn.

An Emberwake line later bonded with a Silverveined Elven House tied to gemstone magic.
